* What is CBD?

CBD is short of cannabidiol. It is one of dozens of non-psychoactive cannabinoids found in the hemp plant. Cannabidiol is the main non-psychoactive cannabinoid that binds to the receptors in the immune system. It is totally different from the THC (tetrahydrocannabinol), which also comes from the hemp plant. 

CBD was originally patented by the United Sates government in 2003, as a neuroprotectant and antioxidant. 

CBD can interact with the CB1 and CB2 receptors to send signals to wake up and strengthen the immune system naturally. (The endocannabinoid system is a group of endogenous cannabinoid receptors located in the brain and throughout the central and peripheral nervous systems. It is intricately linked to the nervous, immune and digestive systems and brain.) CBD is an effective form of nourishment to the endocannabinoid system.
